Attitude is Everything!

Just a little Monday motivation before we all start our weeks. Remember to have a positive attitude (and lot's of coffee) and there's nothing that you can't accomplish.

Sweat-Proof Makeup

The combination of these two products has been my Holy Grail foundation routine this summer. My skin, which is already oily, always melts away makeup in the summer heat. Although I usually prefer sheer to medium coverage, the L’Oreal Infallible line provides full coverage that lasts all day on my skin. I wear color golden beige in the foundation and nude beige in the powder.

Okay, the cat’s out of the bag: I’m an e.l.f. enthusiast. This brand provides quality products for SUCH a steal. I’ve been using the eyebrow kit to fill in my brows for more than a year now and I think it provides a natural look without changing the natural shape of my brows. I use an e.l.f. small angled brush to apply the light brown powder onto my brows. The negative of this product for me is the gel that comes alongside the powder because I don’t think that the product blends very easily, I prefer to use the L’Oreal Paris Gel Stylist Plumper to set my brows. The combination of these two products provides a natural look and is long-wearing.

I've used two different mascaras by Tarte and I have loved both, but the Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-1 mascara is one of my favorite products of all time. It does an amazing job separating and defining and defining my lashes, but the product never clumps no matter how man coats I put on. It's definitely worth the $21 price tag.

I've always wanted to try an orange-red lipstick, but could never find quite the right shade for my skin tone. The color isn't too opaque and has a slight sheen finish. I don't have a lip liner that matches it; however, I don't think that the color sensational line needs them. The lipstick applies more like lip balm and isn't as drying as other lipsticks that I've tried. This product was limited edition and I picked it up in Target earlier this spring, but I'm in love with the lipstick and hope that they produce it again next year. I found a few listing for it on eBay if you want to try it.

Even though my skin tends to be oily, thanks to Jaclyn Hill I don't feel like my makeup is complete until I use a luminizer on my cheek bones, temples, and cupid's bow. These e.l.f. cover sticks are only $1 and come in three shades. I like persimmon the most because of it's peachy hue and gentle shimmer. In addition to being a highlighter, I also like using it as a base for my eyeshadow. It can be a little hard to blend so I recommend warming it with your finger and then applying it.

This setting spray has been a lifesaver for my makeup not only in the summertime, but year-round. This product does make my makeup last longer and helps my skin look less matte after I apply powder on top of my foundation. I do know that there are a ton of cheaper options out there, but I've heard very mixed reviews on all of them. Does anyone have any cheaper favorites? Let me know in the comments below.

Here is the finished look with all of the products mentioned in this post. Let me know what I should try next!
